At Salsa Mexican Grill we take extra care of our people and our customers. In this spirit, we have heeded our President and government’s call to lock down society over the last few weeks in response to the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. We commend the strong leadership from the President and other leaders to “flatten the curve”, and the brave frontline healthcare workers who are providing their services.
With the introduction of 5 pandemic alert levels and the easing to level 4 from 1 May, we have received notes of excitement from our customers eager to enjoy their favourite nachos, tacos and burritos from Salsa Mexican Grill once again.
While we are eager to get our chefs, waiters and other Salsa family members back to serving our customers again, the reality is that under “delivery-only” trading conditions, this is not possible for most of our restaurants. With our support, every Salsa Mexican Grill franchisee has been evaluating the feasibility of re-opening for delivery only under Level 4 conditions, and only restaurants that are successful in obtaining financial support in the form of (amongst others) rent relief, will be in a position to re-open without incurring further losses.

We have also updated our safety and hygiene operating standards and procedures to align with best practice requirements from the Health Ministry, as well as our industry bodies. You can be assured that both Salsa Mexican Grill restaurants and our delivery partners will adhere to the strictest hygiene standards all the way from order to delivery to you – to minimise the potential spread of the virus.
